here are a couple pics of the Tridacnids that reside in my tank. 1st one is my 8" Derasa:

Now here's my baby. This Crocea was purchased as a #1 Grade Clam and it was only about 3" when purchased. Now look at her:

Yes. They're my special strain of GSP's. ULTRA Metallic Green.

Hey Edward, isn't your friends clam maxima? I might be wrong, I have hard time telling the difference between the two. I think the only way is to see the actual shell. Here's my maxima and squamosa.
