It sure is. The first time we went we got hooked and ended up buying 3 acres.. 60° in the morning, mid 80's in the afternoon.

I love it. The people are super friendly, not to hot in the summer, not to cold in the winter, 4 seasons, lots of mountains, creeks... has humidity similar to here (I know a lot of people hate it but my sinuses have to have 70% or above or they get messed up) but its not as hot...

We have gone six or seven times now and still have not run out of new things to do...

This is Upper Alarka creek that runs through the edge of my property... I'm taking the photo from a small bridge over it..

Everything to the right down to the creek and to the left on this hill is my land.. the road is an easement which kinda sucks but I think
was worth it to get the creek. This particular creek Upper Alarka flows all year long. Some of them only flow during the spring & early summer.

Believe it or not this was a cleared lot five years ago... there are actually a couple of trees that have sprung up on it that are six inches around.

20 & 15 -- My son is starting his sophomore year in college and my daughter is starting her sophomore year in high school. His GF went with us on vacation.

We were driving around there today. Beautiful.

Where all did you go? If you go to Cade's Cove in the morning you might be able to catch a black bear out on the prowl..

I have been in that area as well. If you ever get a chance to drive along sky line drive, go for it....blue ridge mountains. I am presently practicing country roads for karokee night lol. I have found generally speaking people who live by the ocean or great lakes love the mountains and opposite holds true. I am a vivid cyclist so I like my terrain flat.......With my tank I have restarted using bought reverse osmosis water cus I wanna cut down on my partial water changes last one was june.....I stood up for Houston yesterday! bro visiting from nyc says he went there for business and did not like it....enjoy.

We did go to Cades Cove the other day, but with a 2 year old that wants to walk by herself it was quite an adventure. No bears there, but we saw a couple out behind our cabin.
