Finally found a very small majestic angel. Thanks CP. could not even find out this small on LA. I hope my queen/regal, two of my aggressive angels which are a little bigger get along with this little guy.

cute navarchus, got that one on order myself! Not quite that little though. Good luck with him. Always a tough decision between little enough to be easier to wean onto frozen food and big enough to handle themselves in the tank pecking order.

Thanks Jeff. Yeah I looked for 6 months to find one this small. Eats pellet like a pig but my concern is bigger angels.

Awesome found John, first I thought you got a Blue Girdled Angelfish, but they are the same, LOL.
Dave told me that Emperor Angels, Blue-faced Angels, and Majestic Angels are all considered reef-safe in SPS tanks, and somewhat reef-safe in mixed reefs with Majestic Angels being the "safest" choice of the big Angels.
If they do go after corals they will tend to just go for one particular kind, or often clams.
My tank is manly SPS, some LPS, few Zoas which they can eat , Ricordea garden, and 2 small clams.
Keep us updated how it does in your tank, I'm looking for some first-hand experiences.
I have heard and read of them going after Elegance corals, brain corals, clams, and Acans more than anything else.
I have been seriously looking at adding a Majestic to my tank for the last few months, and I'm ok with having to remove some corals if it takes a liking to them, but I also don't want to make a rash decision.
I'm sure you did a lot of research.
All I hope it will do well with my Bandit.

Thanks guys!

Yeah blue face is also on my list and found one at CP but it was a little too big. I will add the emperor last probably next year sometimes. My list is almost complete. Also looking for a decent size passer which is hard to find.

Mine are very well bahaved towards SPS so far (things could change over night though) :D. I also have a gold torch and large duncan colony (the only 2 LPS in the tank) and no issues so far.

The biggest challenge to make these fish co-exist in the same tank when they are small to medium size. :D

So you got that Bandit? I have never seen one that big.

Special order Bandit.
Yeah. I was kinda scared the size cause it's hard to try to get them eat.
He did super in QT and in the D-tank he eats and competes with the rest so far all is well.
The Passer, awesome choice as well.
Your best bet is LA or http://www.aquaticaonline.net/angelfish.html

Good to hear on the bandit, have heard it is harder to get the more mature ones to eat. I haven't heard of that aquaticaonline before, have you ordered from them? Good experience? They have some reasonable prices on a regal angel, might get killed by shipping though.

Nice fish RR! Do you use an acclimation box? If not, I highly recommend it with both wrasses and angels. It will save you some grief over the whole toss'em in and pray they work it out. I've got a tiny coral beauty in my acclimation box right now that would have been destroyed by the flame had I just threw him in. The flame attacked the box for 3 days straight before letting up. The fish still has another week at least before I let him loose...

Thanks Jason.

I keep all the new fish in the refugium (about 50/g with just LR and nothing else in there) for at least a week in the dark and then move it to the acclimation box in the display tank. Yes acclimation box is a must. Mine is made from eggcrate so there is more interaction versus an acrylic box (not sure if they can smell each other, lol). They stay in the box for at least 2-3 weeks.

By the way, I got a hybrid coral beauty from Fish Gallery about a month ago, it'a a beauty. I have post picture of her.

Post a pic! I haven't seen it...
Mines just a run of the mill coral beauty but a nice small size.

Nice job on getting the navarchus to eat pellet so fast. Awesome fish; if you ever want to sell it.....

It's residing in a dark refugium so it hard to take a picture. I will take a picture when its moved to the acclimation box. It has better coloration than this reef builder pic:Cebu hybrid coral beauty
