After waiting almost a month since I pre ordered it:ohwell:, my New Apex arrived last Thursday:ya:. I finally had some time Sunday to build this mounting/cable management box, seal it, paint it, and mount the Apex. It's going to go under my stand. I sealed it since I've had a tank leak in the past and don't want to loose the Apex if it ever happened to this tank.
Now to learn the programming :confused2: and start transferring everything over and securing the cables down. Waiting on my probe holder get the probes wet.
I ordered the Kindle Fire as a permanent 7" display as I first saw on the BRS 160 video. I can't wait to finish it and have it operational.

You've done a great job at mounting that thing FK82!

Personally, I'm having a hard time with the aesthetics of the new Apex, but I've yet to hear too many people share in my opinion of it. There must be a whole lot of "good" that outweighs the "bad," I suppose.

Either way, your's is looking great! ;) Congrats!

I hear ya. There was a lot of discontent after the announcement of the new Apex with the new look on national forums. I never owned a controller and was looking for one by chance when the new one was released. I didn't really care what it looked like just that it was the latest controller. The look grew on me since I was not accustomed to anything else and now coupled with the DOS and DDR I picked up used at a good price from a fellow Marshian it all fits the same color scheme.
These are my first doing pumps and I was a bit concerned how the tubing would look since the pumps are angled kind of funny but I liked the outcome in the end.
I also incorporated my old wether resistant power receptacles for powerheads and lighting that power draw did not need to be on separate outlets on the Apex itself.

A few more cable ties and velcro straps to tidy it up and I'll be happy with it.
