If you were heading north bound on SW freeway this morning at 8am you probably noticed an accident in the center lane just before 610. What you most likely did not notice is that my beloved Subaru was car 3 out of 5, completely sandwiched between a toyota truck and a lexus IS300. Yes, it is a sad day, my 3 month old suby is a goner.

Luckily everyone involved was ok, and the tail car admitted fault immediately and to the officer. Hopefully he has enough insurance to cover a Lexus, Subaru, Toyota, and a Benz E350.

I was livid when I got out of my vehicle, but feeling better now. Soar... but better

So that was YOU causing all the problems!?! :D I was not there, but heard it on the radio.

Glad you are not seriously hurt, and good luck on getting it resolved. But I'm going to bet, it will be your uninsured/ UNDERinsured motorist coverage that will have to cover it. You will pay your deductable towards the repairs, or it will be deducted from the proceeds, but at least it won't be charged against your record. If you are lucky, your insurance company will get the deductable back for you, from the at fault driver.

Maybe they can make a Subaru commercial about you now!

Yep, already heard from my company that they are starting the process on under insured because they know the guy doesn't have the coverage for all of us. State Far, has a good record of taking care of me though.

"My Subaru saved my life." :)

I took the glass piece my projector headlight rather than the shifter knob though.

Honestly though, I really loved that car and the chances of me finding another for the price I paid is slim to none. It's a sad day.

Glad to be alive though!!!!

We've had State Farm for 27 years, and they have been great for us too. Seeing as it is new, right? they should take care of getting you a new one. A friend had his 2010 SVT Raptor totaled after 2 months, like $24K damage on a $40K truck, and they gave him enough for a replacement. He had to wait several months for his order, but he got a new one. Hopefully you can swing a similar deal.

I did. However you will not find another in the shape mine was in for the price I got it. Took me a year to come across that one, and I have friends at BOTH subaru dealers in Houston.

So far it's looking like a 2008 (sedan boo) Legacy 2.5GT, or a 2008 Mini Cooper S Turbo.

Neither of these will hold my bike, which makes me sad.

Believe me I would love one, just not in my price range since I wasn't prepared. Then I have to find one used, yet wasn't beat on by the previous owner.

I have plenty of backup cars and time, so I'll be on the hunt for just the right ride to replace my ride.
