So in my quest to do everything out of the ordinary, I want to keep the native Dragon Goby, also called a violet goby in my native tank. At one point petsmart would sell them as full freshwater fish, but (fortunately) they don't anymore. I am in the process of tracking down one of these guys, but first I want to see if anyone has kept them in full salt. All I know is that they are sand sifters, and (when well fed) are incredibly docile.

If anyone has had a different experience, please let me know.

If referring to Gobioides broussonnetii then most official sites consider them prevalent at brackish conditions while some reports of full marine or full freshwater inhabitants. At the same time, certain official sites also contradict themselves lol. IME they have done best in a brackish system with peaceful tankmates that won't pick at it. Many fish species that tolerate one or the other (fw or sw) usually do so when they are making that migration to die (take that for what it's worth). They also need a large tank in the long run ;)
