I already ripped up the existing tiles to install new ones. With the help of a jack hammer I had no problem except the mortar or the hardened adhesive wont come off. The jack hammer helped some but didnt entirely remove all of it. Homedepot recommended some liquid and let that sit for an hour but I doubt itll do anything. Any one got a tip or two, thanks!

Is the old thinset still whats left on the floor?
What about renting a concrete grinder (can be very dusty)? Personally I would hire someone LOL...
Not sure what it is really. Probably hardened thin set if not straight mortar. The electric scraper removed some but the most efficient way is with a hammer and large flat head chisel though it takes a long time doing it by hands.
