How does this look for plumbing? Removed the check valve.:) I tried to limit the amount of 90 degree turns but wanted to have space in the sump.

Looks good to me. Idk about the proper or best way of plumbing but personally I used some 45 degree pvc elbows.

A little update

Been checking daily for proper reading
Last week ammonia was 3ppn
Nitrate was undetected
Nitrite undetected...

Then add the infamous dr Tim's, instant cycle just to see what the hype was about
Automatically see significant ammonia, nitrate, nitrite reduction
Last Saturday ammonia was none nitrate 0 nitrite almost undetectable

So I add 1 chromis and 1 blue and yellow damsel. Check again tonight and no traces of ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, ph, cal..

Have y'all had experiences with this dr Tim's instant cycle? I was Leary of such claims but my results mean to differ.. I will test daily and feed heavy three times a day until those 3 are undectable before I add more fish..

On a another note got rid of the kessil a350w for the a360w and I must say there is a big increase in intensity output! I mean the a350w is awesome but this unit lets you actually control the intensity as well as the norm blue, white leds.

Great build! I too have the cadlights 50g and am absolutely in love with it and the rimless design. One of my favorite things to do with it is turn off my vortech and take just stare down at the corals in all it's beauty from above. You will love this tank.

It's been roughly about a year. Funny thing is I used to have a 120 mixed reef and although I loved it I find myself more in love with this tank. It's just clean and sleek and I love being able to look down at the tank
