NEW electronic thermometer!! (1 Viewer)

i stopped by aquarium world by 290 today and saw this new electronic thermometer by coral life for 11.99 so i thought what the heck i'll give it a try. it is as small as a regular stop watch and after trying it out i have to say it is accurate. to me it is not to bad at all because the temperature read out is extremely easy to read compare to most of the sticker or drop in thermometers that are out in the market right now. it also gives you the temperature within a .1 range (for example 78.2 or 80.8). I give this new thermometer a 2 thumbs up

Is it, perchance, a backlit thermo? That's my biggest problem now, turning on the lights under my stand just to get a temp reading at 5am before I head off to work....

The ones from Academy have a 30 foot cord as well as a light button. Not bad for 12.00 bucks.

this one has no light button however it is extremely easy to read a lil key chain light and you would be fine because the number is quite big. it also reads in celcius 8)

Will they survive in the conditions under my tank? THings in the stand tend to get salty and sometimes a little more humidity than other places in the world.....

Are these carried at any Academy? I think I have a errand coming up today :0

At which Academy did you find those? Ive asked and they did not have a clue what I was talking about. Then again they could be idiots.

I asked at my academy and that didnt have a clue either, I found it by the battery operated air pumps, and bait buckets.
