I was visiting family in the "International District" aka Chinatown / Vietopia. I remember there being a TNT fish store on Hwy 6 and Bissonet. Long story short, the guy retired and there is a new owner now. They downsize and I prefer the smaller ambiance. Customer service was great. The owner (Kien) is knowledgeable and didn't make stuff up. I've been to LFS where the owner didn't even acknowledge you, so this was nice. What sold me on the store was the honesty. There was a fish I like, but he wouldn't sell it to me. It ate corals, so I appreciate the honesty.
Some items were priced right, but some were too expensive. He said he would mark it down accordingly. Wasn't offended and appreciated that I was trying to help him. They are new, so still trying to figure out their supply chain. Overall, worth a visit and definitely try to buy something to support them.
