I'll try and get a pic sometime later. I was looking at my RBTA and noticed that it's in the process of splitting. Then, on the rock right above it is a brand new batch of eggs. This would be my Clarkii's first go at it. My wife and kids are now expecting to have tons of babies in the near future. I had to explain that they'll all be eaten.

Congrats Randy,
Is this their first batch? Parents normal eat the first 3 batches then after that they stop.
Can that rock with eggs on it be move? If u don't want to raise them, lmk and I can pick it up and raise it. in return, you can have 2 pairs(more if more survive) when they get older depend on how many live.

This is their first batch. I'll let you know when they get to their second and third and then you can have 'em.
How long until they typically lay eggs again? How long is the gestation period for the eggs to hatch?

Eggs will hatch on the 8day and the parents will lay the next batch of eggs 2 or 3 day later. My onyx and snowflake do that but on the other hand, my other pairs stop for a week or more then start again.

If u don't see eggs the next day then they ate them all but if u still see eggs then they are good parents and the eggs will hatch on the 8day.

Today is day two.

Thanks Mike

Then this is not their first or third batch. I think its their 4th and up batch. They normally eat their eggs in the morning on the 2nd day.

Well, they were still there this morning when I left. However, the blue lights had just come on. I guess we'll see whenever I get home this afternoon. Eitherway, upon the next batch, I'll try and get them to you.

Well, all eggs have hatched and are gone. Kid learned a lesson of life. This last batch of eggs was laid in close proximity to the Rose BTA which the male actually spent most of the day. The female always hangs around the LTA for the most part. Now, both spend most of their time in the LTA together and I noticed this morning, the female is prepping a new area close to the LTA where she'll likely lay the next batch. The whole courting process is actually pretty cool to watch.
