Ok, so my current RO (Kent Marine 25g/day) unit is plumbed into a 50gal resevoir so that we can take buckets of water to our tank. It is plumbed into the resevior with a top off floater valve.
The problem is, when the water level inside the bucket reaches maximum, the filter keeps running water through itself and dumping all that water through the waste tube.
We are currently contemplating plumbing the system into a nearby bathroom, but we would like to waste as little water as possible, but still have an auto-topping off system.
Are there any RO/DI units that will completely shut off water flow through themselves when backpressure on the good water line is detected?
I was wondering if the switch on this RO/DI unit was the one that i needed to do the above:

Would i need anything other than that filter and a kent float valve?
Thank you
Andy
