I am happy to announce that PlanetFish has joined the ranks of MARSH sponsors. I was in there yesterday and as usual they were a clean store with a really nice selection of fish at very reasonable (and often excellent) prices. Toni, the store's owner, was as friendly as ever and is looking forward to a great relationship with the club.

For those that don't know, they are located at 6715 Weslayan in Houston and can be found on the web at http://www.planetfishofhouston.com. If you need to call them (for directions or anything else) their phone number is (713) 838-7788.

For those of you that are interested, they had a couple of Harlequin Tusk Wrasses for $55.00 each... a great price any day of the week, and that is before the MARSH discount. They also had a great selection of anthias and other wrasses (flame, exquisite, etc) including a Slingjaw wrasse for those of you who want the coolest fish to feed.

While I was there, I picked up a Sea Hare to help combat my hair algae problems. I am not sure if there are any left, but the one I got has already started in on my crop and I hope to be hair algae free soon.

Check the store out. I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately, for some reason, I cannot edit the post, and therefore the link has to stay that way until something can be done about it. However, your link works fine and so it cancels out my typo.

Haha, because Shane's nifty 60-minute limit on editing posts is in effect! :D I fixed it.

WOW, I was looking at buying a seahare from Blowfish Aquatics but the guy wanted $50 to ship it. Insanity! I'm glad I held off...once he's done with your hair algae, maybe you would consider selling/trading/leasing him out?

I got mine from Toni for $15. I noticed it had already started work on the hair algae last night. I am looking forward to a hair algae free tank in the near future. (cross fingers. knock on wood, rub the rabbit's foot... ).

Watch those powerheads Jim. I had one a year ago just to wake up the next morning to find him on the intake of a maxi-jet :-x It doesn't take much for them to get sucked in.

Toni purchased the place from Sean well over a year ago, maybe two. Toni is very nice and their selection is usually pretty good. Worth a visit during the rounds.

Huge thumbs up for these guys....

Stopped in today, had a mantis shrimp and I put it on hold (sorry guys). $5....can't beat that with a stick.

Good looking store, clearly spoken, very helpful.

They'll get more business from me

I have been there and was pleasantly surpirised by the quality and varying amount of livestock they had. Prices were great too. The yare somewhat negotiable on them as well. I will definately be a repeat customer.
