I would like to say hello since this is my first time on this forum. Moved here recently from tampa, and sure missing the amazing coral farms. My favorite was coral corral if anyone has heard of it.

I was wondering if i can get any advice on a recent death I've had with my superman.

My orange cap and superman were starting to touch so i broke off the mother colony and moved her. I left a piece on the rock and glued another to a frag. The mother colony is doing great and growing in its new location but both frags had complete polyp drop and died within 2 days.

water conditions:

sg 1.026
calcium 500
dKh 7
magnesium 1300
zero nitrates nitrites and ammonia
ph 8.3

I've heard of this happening before but never had it happen to me especially with monti's. Is there anything you can do to stop it from happening? My superman is one of my favorites and really want to have a couples frags. Meanwhile I'm tossing orange and purple caps into the trash.

Thanks for any advice and I hope to enjoy houston!
