I'd like to get the Reef Keeper, as it is a good price with a lot of functionality. I've read negative reviews on reliability though. And I've heard Apex is a better choice. Is it really worth the price diff? Any other controllers to consider? 150 gallon tank

APEX or GHL.............. just a piece of mind and the last controller you'll ever buy.

As Ben said, Apex or GHL. RK is not bad but it's very basic and the network interface really sucks. In other hands RK is a very mature product with no major changes or updates for the last 5 or more years.
