Alright, so I got 2 MH bulbs - 20,000K 175watts a piece. (These were given to me.) What kind of ballast do I need and lighting fixtures? I see other members are buying them from ballastwise, but I don't know which one to get.

Any suggestions, Thanks!

ice cap, pfo, and sunlight supply all make good ballasts. for the fixture you'll need a couple of pendants fitted for mogul bulbs that are obviously capable of handling a 175 watt bulb.

OK, there are two types of metal halide ballasts; Electronic, and Magnetic. If you are looking at an electronic ballast from Ballestwise.com, you will want THIS ONE

If you are looking for a magnetic ballast (also known as a "core and coil" ballast), you will need to find one that is an ANSI code M57 to fire the 175W bulb you have.

Personally, I prefer electronic ballasts.
