Now that I'm preparing to set up my 120...its time to buy salt by the bucket. Anybody know where the best deal on salt is in the Houston area? I was by Neptunes today and couldn't believe what they were asking.

I purchased oceanic salt and have had nothing but problems. It's really sad. Hair algae, white film in my salt drum, and poor coral health are but a few items. I will never buy this type of salt again. IMO, it is a waste of money.

If you do buy this type, I hope you have better luck with it. Let me know how it goes...

Abran,

I appreciate the response. I've been using Oceanic out of the sack on my 55 gal. and haven't noticed any real problems. After all of the talk about high Calicium levels with Oceanic, I was going to keep using it when my 120 gets set up. So what salt are you using and what is the price? Why do you choose that brand over others?
