Awesome tank!!

I can’t believe that is only 110 Gallons. You’ve done a great job, definitely gives me new respect for T5 lighting. I’m slowly coming around but I still love the shimmer of MH. I guess I’ll start changing my mind after I see my first electric bill once the new tank is running.

the lighting you saw, I believe, was mainly T-12 VHO's. He said he is switching to T-5HO's.

... I could be wrong though.

Thanks every one. I am truly honored to win the TOTM

Yes the pic is of T12 but I do have 2 54W T5HO with single reflectors on the other 1/2 of the hood and the 2 bulbs are crazy bright. When i am done I will have 4 54W over driven to 80W and 2 80W overdriven to 110W(I think). I can not wait to finish my rebuild. I love my ICECAP ballast and think they are one of the best ballast on the market PLUS the owner of the company is a super nice guy.

There are a few more things I would like to do to the tank but overall I am very happy with it.

John,

Great looking tank and my favorite part of your writeup is that you are trying to be energy efficient to reduce your electricity usage and your CO2 emissions, a very good goal!
