Mrs Pernelf, if you can get them from Japan, I might be able to talk Mrs Shrimp into letting me usee my credit card. hahahaha

Well currently we can't spend the money. But I tell you this, we like the red and grey. Also we like the red and lavender, and most others, but currently we are about to give a guy who does acrylic work all of our money.

You got any sexy shrimps? How much are they?

I don't have any in stock right now since I'm putting in a new holding system but I will be making an order in a few weeks. I can let you know if they are on the new price list and a quote if you like :)

Not sure on the colors of the anacs but I'll see what I can do when I'm looking into ordering.

to me - it depends on the color of the colony, the number of heads, whether it is wild-caught or not, and species to name a few. "If you build, they will come," right? I'd pay and drive up one weekend if it is something besides the more common red and grey lordhowensis. Why do you ask? Do you have friends in the coral smuggling business? HMM?

The more common? How many lordes have you ran into that youve become so picky....

Hahahah

Eric that was my thoughts also when I read the post.

People who complain they are common are only looking on the trade markets. To me more than half the stuff coming from the Bali aquaculture shipments are starting to look alike, I want different, of course the reason they seem to look alike is because I get there after all the different ones are bought up.

I would say more like a year or two if you are talking about captive culture to pick up the slack.Or if this corals hype machine runs out of gas and people find something new....Other than that expect to pay a premium. :cheers2:

reefsavers - yeah, i know what you mean. even the red/greys are hard to find, but you can find them for sale. there are some color variations that people hold on to with a dead man's grip for whatever reason. Those are almost never for sale. :(

EDIT
Ah, NOW I see what you're saying. Those things I mentioned are things that I'd consider when paying for any A. lordhowensis. I'd like to buy one, of course, but prices should vary depending on certain aspects, right? After all, I'm not just buying it at any cost just for the sake of owning one.

Besides, I'm a little picky about the red/greys b'c mine is already kind of teal-grey and red. kind of hard to tell at this point tho. it's still angry at me. I have a pic of the mother colony, but these things look very different under different lighting setups. plus the mother colony's photo was taken right when the coral was received. the owner said it changed a little since then.
