so coralcay and I were doing maintanence on my tank, when I saw one of my cucumbers ... umm... shall we say,.... floating in an erect fashion... flowing in the water... gently swaying... ahh... peacefull

then he started acting like a tube of toothpaste being squeezed ... he was .. i guess... producing sperm...

I have seen them squirt their intestines out, and they are quite sticky and dont dissolve... this was not it..

this stuff kept squirting out for about 20 minutes... about once every 45 seconds..

it just floated away in the current and dissipated..

hehe, although youre story is funny, I would seriously consider investigating what your cucumber was doing. Sometimes these little acts can be devastating to the life in your tank since cucumbers are known to release highly toxic chemicals into the tank when stressed our threatened.
I have 4 in my tank and I keep an eye on those suckers like a hawk.

as an update, darrin and i did a little investigation afterwards and it ends up he/she was spawning. a website had pics and description of exactly what it was doing. i wonder if its a hermaphrodidic species or not. if it is, darrin may have a couple new cukes on his hands
