Old Filters (1 Viewer)

I am getting back into saltwater tanks after about 8 years. I have 2 old filters a Fluval & an Ehiem. I know the Ehiem still has all the old filtration media in it, can I just hook it up and start it all over again? Do I need to remove all the old and replace it with new? I never used the Fluval though it was used when I got it, so I don't know much about it.

My tank - I just bought a 75 gal that I plan on putting a lion fish, an eel, and some other fish in (not very many). I know either of the filters I have are large enough to run the tank.

I would definitely replace the filter media.
