I just bought this for over my 29G. Not thinking of ballasts I am wondering can I use any ballast for this pendant as the plug that comes out of the pendant has 3 prongs. I was wondering if these 3 prongs like a plug only went to a PFO ballast or do all MH ballasts have that? Thanks for the info.

Anyone? Another thing I forgot to mention is can I cut the plug off and re-wire this pendant to any ballast I may want to get like the advance ballast I just bought? Thanks

Well you can't get a female plug for ballast? Most likely you could cut the plug and rewire it, but I am sure that would cancel any warrenty you have one it.

The three prong is the plug type that the PFO Ballasts have on them. If you geta PFO ballast just make sure it is for the same wattage you want to use in the pendant. If you want to go with another type of ballast then you are stuck with either cutting the plug off, taking it off the mogul completely and running fresh wire, or getting a PFO extension cord and wiring that to your ballast and then plugging your pendant into it.

Sent to my fathers work where there is a maintenance guy who works on all their plant MH lighting. He fixed me up a nice case to put the ballast in, painted it, re-wired everything and it all works great. Thanks for your responses.
