Bali, Indonesia: this is a beautiful island with lots of things to do (sightseeing, beaches, scuba, snorkel, water sport, upscale resorts, etc..), The popular Kuta is packed with Australians (perhaps due to the short distance) and Europeans.
Random pics at Ramayana resort: ($75/day booked thru Expedia. I later moved to a cheaper hotel for only ~$20/day and not too bad at all)
Interesting fruits at breakfast buffeet:
Breakfast area:
The "Ground Zero" - you can see lots of Aussies on the list:
Watukaru temple: I took a day tour that stopped by this royal temple, the rice terrace, the Batur lake and ended at Tanah Lot temple in the evening to observe sunset.
Entrance of Lake Bartan: beautiful lake!!!! (temperature is cooler here - ~70F)
Jatiluwih Rice Terrace:
We stopped at this restaurant to have lunch, andthe view of the rice terrace from this restaurant is just amazing!
After lunch we moved on to the Monkey Forest: it's really is a monkey forest since it has thousand of monkeys! We are warned to not carry any loose items (like camera, sunglasses, hat..) since these monkeys are very 'playful'... i heard a lot off screams
I and other visitors were taking pics of this female monkey holding her kid, suddenly this darn male monkey came from nowhere (on the tree) and jumped right on to the female and did this right in front of the stunned visitors
The final stop was at the Tanah Lot temple to see the sunset. BUT it was a cloudy day so we pretty much missed the chance.
