Do I have to be a MARSH member to post here?

So why are there 2 Buying/Selling forums? One for members only and the other is also for members only???

The paid member's only forum isn't used as much as the other marketplace forums, its just used by the paid members when they only want to deal with other paid members, whether to offer free stuff or better deals to those who like them have supported the club financially.
The other buy/sell forums you only have to be a paid member to start a for sale thread. Everyone can view and post to buy in those forums. They used to be open to MARSH guests to start threads but it was making MARSH a bit like craigslist. The paid members voted to restrict it as it is now so that the emphasis of MARSH could be more for the exchange/learning of information and not an online marketplace. This may change in the future, but for the past couple years that's what the paid MARSH members have voted for.

Well put Cat. We had people selling items here and contributing nothing else to the group. And since MARSH is more about education being a non profit, and not about buying and selling, the vote was taken. Yeah, we may be missing out on some "absolutely wonderful deals", but whatever.
