you guys think to small. Houston is large market. You can run a high end only store. No difference if you have a hole in the wall furniture store or high end impoted stuff... quality may not be worth it but to the buyer. If you wanted to run a store to compete at every level you would have to have a larger inventory/more overhead. More money invested to get started right. I've run a few high end aftermarket performance auto shops so I do have management/business startup smarts. Believe it or not there are plenty of people with money to burn as long as they get what they want, and when it's rare they can feel all good.
I understand what you're saying, but you can't compare the two. People know that a sound system is pretty much plug and play after being installed. Most of my friends had systems, as did I. O actually took the steps in researching to have the beat system in my price range. They say " I have 1k watts of bass" when actually they did not calculate that you have to take the square root of two to get the actual output. While I had 1500 watts of rms and dont get me started on them using capacities because they said it would keep their lights from summing. In this hobby you have to have a lot more knlowdge and while I understand what you're saying. He is still going to need some daily income besides just high end clientele.
I'm not saying I disagree with but its more to think about. Of course I don't have any business running experience besides helping my father with his club and his local paper, which is totally different from retail.
