After the Hurricane, I found out the neighbors directly across the street from me are on a totally different system than I am. They received power more than 5 days before we did.
Good thing was, all the children stayed across the street for a week!

trb said:I was looking at the small automatic Generac natural gas generators that run less than $2K for 8KW over 10 circuits. Not too bad of a deal if they are as good as the bigger whole house ones. I would just like to run the tank circuits, the kitchen, TV equipment and some of the house lights/fans if need be. And having it automatic would be much better for my wife, it wouldn't be something else just for the stupid fish tank!
