For an ongoing quarantine tank,... would you guys recommend that the tank have sand or NO sand in it?

I have a 29g with an eclipse lid that I use as a q tank.. I keep the thing running all the time, even if I have no fish to quar. but Im moving it right now and have the opportunity to take the sand OUT of it and wondering if I should.

Thanks,

No sand. You want your QT to be easy to siphon free of detritus. Also, the sand will absorb certain medicines (like copper) and make it hard to treat any sick fish.

just use some PVC pieces for the fish to hide in so they don't stress as much.
