If my LR and LS had no pods to begin with, will pods develop out of no where or do I need to introduce pods in order to have pods?

you could always go and pick up a small piece of LR from kenny @ Aquatic Center. his LR has been the best for me when i came to hitchhikers.

If you bought "live rock" you will have pods. If you want them to grow quickly, start adding photoplankton like DT's. when you buy coral, the rock its on will have pods. It doesn't hurt to get some diverisity by trading sand or macro algea. However if you feed them they will grow!

it is probably the same. You can add it anywhere, and I'd feed it every other day for a week or two then slow down to 2-3 times a week.
