Recommend a LFS for LR (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I am setting a new nano, JBJ's new nano DX and I need some LR. Since I bought everything else online, I would like to buy my LR local. Can you all recommend a store with nice LR?

Check out Global. They usually have some smaller pieces that will work for a nano. I got some of it when I was setting up my 5g. Aquatic Center usually has nice pieces, and I've gotten some there, too. Aquatic World, while their coral selection is horrendous, has good live rock on occasion. Global and Aquatic Center are MARSH sponsors, and their info can be found on this site on the left side of the page under "Sponsors". If you cannot find any small pieces, you can always drop one on a concrete floor or take a hammer to it and make smaller pieces

I stopped by Global last weekend to check out the store in general....my first impression was holy crapola will I need to be packing when I go into this part of town The owner, John maybe? was really cool and I was pleasently suprised by their selection.

I won't get my cube until Monday but I plan a LR scouting trip tomorrow.

If you find some LR tomorrow that you just can't live without, you can always set up a tub or bucket, add saltwater and some aeration to keep the rock in until next week. I did the same thing with some live sand and rock for about two months before my tank was up and ready to go. Got a deal I couldn't refuse, LOL. I just did weekly water changes, and it was perfectly fine. I kept a lid on it so it wouldn't grow algae.

Well I went to T&T, Fishland and Global today for LR. I didn't get any pieces, just checking things out.

Eventhough I really like global, they didn't really have much in the way of decent/nice LR. Fishland had the best with T&T second. I will probably get some LR at both if not all three places
