hehe. The smelly shower was NOT an upgrade. It really wasn't that bad, but I would have preferred a better smelling one :)

Snorkeling every morning without getting in a car...wonderful!

Pictures from snorkeling

Here are some low resolution pictures I got while we were in Hawaii. They don't do any justice to what we saw in person, but it gives you an idea of the scale of the reef and how many fish we saw :)

These were all taken with a crappy $9 underwater camera.

hey, if you go back, it's really funny, you can attract SCHOOLS of butterflies if you do the thumb to forefinger whole hand alligator mouth movement underwater. For some reason they think you're feeding them

DOH! Wish we knew that beforehand. I doubt we get back to Hawaii anytime soon.

Thats very nice considering it was Maui. Went there a few yrs ago. Cant remember the hotel we stayed at but it was close to Black Rock in Kaanapali. The whole week of snorkeling I saw only ONE yellow tang and lots of those dingy looking nondescript tangs. Saw a fair number of Naso in Lahaina along with a slew of blk durgeons. Those little wht spotted tobies are all over as well. Saw lots of belted wrasses with their females trailing the males. Unless its changed since I went, I thought the NW side of Maui was disappointing.

Cheers,
Chris

Chris,

Actually all these pictures were taken in the waters around the big island, not maui. We did go to Molokini crater off of maui, but we didn't really see that many fish, there were a ton more off the big island.
