Well the crazy storm the other night must’ve spooked my fish. I found my favorite fish dried up on the floor the next day [emoji22]
The irony is that I had a Red Sea screen top kit sitting in a corner waiting to be assembled this weekend.
Well anyways today I wanted to make sure nothing else will jump out and put it together.
First impression is wow, the packaging is pretty neat. It comes in a tubular package nice and neatly packaged contents inside.
Nice thing about it is it comes with pretty much everything needed (clips to place screen flush inside tank, spline roller, inside corner brackets, enough mesh for 3 or 4 tops). I’ve looked at other kits that weren’t as complete and extra components need to be purchased separately.
Here’s my breakdown:
Frames: nice frames and easy enough to cut
Corner frame connectors: provided more than other kits and allowed me to clear a space for my return pipes over the back glass.
Mesh: lots provided and seems typical material that allows maximum light thru
Screen clips: a nice touch and classy looking. No need for plastic clips to the tank glass to hold the screen up. Easy to adjust too
Assembly: super easy for me. Just measure, cut lengths to size put together then put in screen. I must’ve watched the Red Sea video on YouTube twice to make sure i knew what I was to do.
