To me, reef octopus pumps seem to have almost the same success rate of jebao. This pump falls in a confusing niche of the market. Jebao is cheaper and they move a ton of water, but it's jebao. Ecotech is a proven technology with all the customer service to back them up, but only costs $60-70 more. Why not just save for an Ecotech?

Seems to be a descent pump and price. Which reef octopus pumps are failing? Just never heard anything close to that. Jebao on the other hand has a power supply issue. The pump itself is average.

Ecotech is definitely a solid pick for the extra change.

Octopus skimmer pumps are junk other than the bubble blaster.
