Has anyone here ordered from them and had problems?

I placed and order that arrived today, snails and brittle stars.

I know that it is not there fault for what happens in transit, but somehow the bags with the starfish and snails ended up busted.

The first sign something was not right was the wet box sitting by my door.

I did call, and spoke with someone, was told to take pictures and email them, which I did. They said they would contact me again via email.

I am just wondering if this has happened to anyone else here, and if so how long did it take to get resolved?

I am going to try to revive them, by an extremely slow drip, but then starting with no water, there really is no acclimation to be done, is there?

I have had some frustrating experiences with them in the past, not necessarily bad, just not as good as it could have been. However, they were typically good about giving you credit for any DOA critters. Problem is it is only credit so you then have to order more (for free shipping) or use the credit up in another shipping...

I wouldn't entirely give up on what you received though, some of the snails are tough enough to where that might not have killed them.

Reef CPR......LOL!! I did order from them and didn't have any problems. Just as you mention "I know that it is not there fault for what happens in transit, but somehow the bags with the starfish and snails ended up busted" If they take care of it, I'm sure they will. It will be a good service cause this isn't really their fault!

I received an order that included 2 brittle stars that arrived all broken up. I took pictures and they sent replacements that were in very good condition. Only complaint i have is that it took an additional week to get the stars.

Well after 4 hours of dripping, it appears that 1/4 of the snails may make it. Not so sure on the brittle stars though. The lot is now in the sump for easy access and removal if needed.

Thanks for the replies, this was my first order with them and wanted to see if this was "the norm". They have great prices, even without the MARSH discount. I will give it a few days to see, if the animals are dead in the morning, then I will start with their 14 day policy. I have faith that things will be righted, FedEx is the responsible party here, it is just easier for them to deal with FedEx as a shipper, than for me as a receiver.

Heres an update for those concerned,
As luck would have it, and as stated above by inigo, the snails appear to be very hardy. I have placed 80% into my DT because I was sure thatthey were alive. The remaining 20% are still in the sump, I just am not certain on them yet, I didn't see them climb the walls, and on the bottom I can't tell if they are moving yet.

I had the "large" brittle star make a recovery. I didn't realise how large he truly was till I placed him in the DT. He is at least 6" tip to tip. I know they are stated to bereef safe, but his size along gives me a little concern that he may become agressive.

The 3 other stars, of which the largest was about 1.5 inches seem to have met Neptune.

Reefs2go has contacted me via email to check on the status of the shipment and if there were any survivors. I informed them of the findings as of now, and waiting out their 14 day period.

While I was initially disappointed, as stated I don't feel that this company did anything wrong, it was the carrier (FedEx). SO far, I am pleased with the responses I have received from them.

I will keep this updated till completly resolved.

Good to hear. I did placed a order last night on a bunch of hopefully nice Zoa's. The last time I ordered a Zoa pack all was fine but the Zoa's it self were not nice in color. after about a month they start multiplying and also the colors got brighter.

Final update,

I had a total of 45 dead Cerith snails, 1 dead Nerite snail and 3 dead brittle stars after the shipping mishap.
After a few e-mails and submitting what their policy calls for, I am pleased to say that they have given a credit towards my next purchase with them that never expires.
Now I know that I will incur more shipping, and have to go through replacing what I did order, but I am satisfied that they have, without problem, honored their 14 day guaruntee.

I will be ordering from them again in the future.

That's a good service. I'll be ordrering a bunch of snails and crabs for my 120 gallon tank in the next week or two. If you want we can combine the order and you can have your credit stuff shipped without any extra shipping cost. just think about it. I'll will order enough to have free shipping.
