While my tank is cycling I thought I'd research some lighting for my refug set up. I bought the skimmer/refug combo from Aquatraders. But now I am curious about lighting. How strong does it need to be for 13.5" deep? I was thinking a clip on type but thought I'd check with you guys and see if anyone has any suggestions or something you use yourself. I'd prefer NOT to spend a fortune for this particular light. :eyebrows:

Thanks for any input you have :peace:

it doesn't have to be massively powerful as ideally speaking the your cheato should be "bobbing and rolling" near the surface of the reugium anyway, I actually saw a cool little clip on light at target last night, it had a single diode led but it looked larger than a cree so I would hope/assume its at least 3w, it said warm white which I believe is in the 5500k region, I could be wrong, it was only 22 bucks, I'm see if I can find out more details about the light but it seemed perfect for small fuge duties, it had a clip and gooseneck built in so it'd look fairly swish for a fuge light as well

OK cool that sounds good. Also thanks for the tip on the cheato I would have put it under rock to hold it down.
