Ive been browsing kickstarter and saw a project for rgb-123 led matrices. They come in different sized plates here is a link to the project.

for a fish only system yes, for a reef system I say no. although leds are bright, the low wattage versions does not have enough intensity to grow corals. IMHO, you need to be able to drive your leds at a minimum 700ma on your blues and whites. unless you have a nano.

Well that's a bummer. Looks like it would have made for a easy DIY project.
