That is hilarious because I am using a childs pool to do the curing!

Hey Mark,

If you feel like coming to Pasadena I have a 150G tub with a 3/4 bulkhead at the bottom you can use until your curing process is done.

LMK either way.

It may only be 100G but here are a few shots to give you an idea of size anyhow:

Cheryl the cure time is about 6 weeks.

Scott That would be awesome if you are willing to let me use it for a month?
I know that is a long time but I have frags! I will actually be out your way later today about 5 if all goes as planned. Drop me a pm if the month is ok.

For the first month I plan to use fresh water, but after that my tank water change water will be used and I am spreading the out in the pool to start growth on them.

I made some of these once upon a time...after 6 MONTHS, the PH was still through the roof!!! There are some ridiculously long threads on speculation one way or the other on RC. I hope yours is shorter. I think the key is changing the water often. Some people even put them in freshwater creeks. That's the fastest way of all.

Couple of suggestions that I learned:

1.Make sure the waste water goes straight down a drain. it'll kill grass, weeds, birds, you name it.

2. Test the PH many times before you get these in a tank....

Good luck!!

Yes sir it is huge! :D

My neighbors have been trying to figure out all week what the heck I am doing on the drive way! They are very noisy!

So when Rich and I pulled up and unloaded the beast, :D I told them I was installing a hot tub!

It is perfect really! Thanks again!

Well there all set thanks to Scott for bucket and Rich for driving.

I am letting them cure for another 5 days dry before the very very long bath begins. I have half the bag of concrete I used for sale in B/S if anyone cares to try this.

Guess this is the resting point of my thread for a few weeks!
Wish me luck!

I think your rock looks awesome. Can you build me a few Tonga Branches though??? I have a lot of shelf and base but only one little piece of branching LR.

You should set that round piece vertical in your tank to build the entrance to a cave around it.

Throw some pods in with the mix to start seeding it with life.

Sorry my joke did not catch! I am using purple primer to add a little color to the rocks

Darn your a few days late. I sold the remaining ingredients I had on Monday. If you want to get some more of it I would be happy to make what you want. I owe you! I have learned to make pretty much any shape

I like that idea.

There you go thinking like me again. I plan to do that right after my cycle. There is a place in Florida I have used before and plan to buy some bugs from them to kick rock life up once ready.

I was showing these rock to see what people thought of the color.
I have only purpled up a few pieces so far just to see if I like it. I think is it pretty natural looking and give a little more aged life look to the rocks.
