I bought BRS reefsaver ecorock and am well pleased with it. It is porous and also has a lot of nooks and crannies in it that pods can hide in later on if you chose to have a pod eater in the tank.

you could go to the beach. but as fingas said, Bulk reef supply is a great source. I got a great 12"x12" piece of pukani rock that was simply awesome because of its porousness. Otherwise, wait around for other hobbyists to list some for sale.

if you go to the wtb firum and ask for some cheap live rock, chances are someone will have some for sale. alot of the time it will get as low as 2 bucks a pound here
