Well i think i figured out part of my problem with the health of acros in my tank. I have slowly let the Alk sink to around 9 when it was staying up around 11-12 most times and in so doing have a couple of frags that the tissue recession has halted and even reversed some and i have good polyp extension on my milli and my birdsnests seem to be growing even faster now. I started suspecting the high alkalinity when several of my birdsnests ended up with burnt tips.

On to the salt question. I am currently running reef crystals salt and have been doing more frequent water changes to try to get the small algae outbreak under control. My issue is that the reef crystals regularly runs around 13+ alkalinity and doing frequent water changes makes it a balancing game to keep Alk at 9. Anyone know of a salt out there that runs around 9-10 alkalinity and has relatively high magnesium and calcium?

ESV B-ionic salt: alk 9, cal 450, mag 1400. Wonderful salt, mixes clear in less than a minute. It is in 4 parts though so a little more work to mix. My corals love it.

No one local covers it unfortunately, I buy it through premium aquatics. It qualifies for free shipping if your order is enough too.
