I plan get cert' (basic) in the next few months.. Wonder if anyone here know a good place (w/ good instructors) in the Northwest area and has weekend classes?

I would recommend SeaSportScuba on 1960 but they have a new manager and he is a JERK!!

Fishcraze. If you go to seasportscuba. Ask for my girl friend Denise. She is an instructor and is cool!
If you don't mind the drive. You can go to scuba of houston on dairyashford & I-10. They have an indoor heated pool that you can use anytime! Ask for Scuba Bob.

You will love it. I am a huge scuba junkie. I would recommend getting certified my Monte. He thought my wife to scuba dive and a bunch of my friends. He is on the NW side of Town and is a great instructor. His site is

Maximum Scuba!!! Their team are lovely, funny and very well trained. they have the best cave instructor in whole texas!! You can get cert. in a week!! Monday Tuesday is classroom time. wednesday thursday is pool and saturday and sunday you go to 288 Lake for your 4dives, 2 each day. All equipment is included. 300 dollars for the whole course and you get your DVD, book and dive log all together with other cool brochures.
