Purchased a MH light the other day from another forum, when I received the light one mount was broken and the end cap was busted up. At first I could not find the pieces that were broke in the box and became suspicious. I eventually tore the box apart and found the pieces. Not repairable for a DT. Notified shipper and you know the rest of the story(Not their fault, deal with it). I admit is it was most likely broke in shipment but they packaged the item obviously not well enough. Started paypal claim but would like to handle the best way for both parties. So, what would you do? Dave

Background: Sunpod 150w and I've looked for replacement parts but haven't had much success.

Open a dispute but also nail them with negative seller feedback on whatever forum you bought off of (assuming they have one). Also if you can get sellers location you check into local reef clubs and nail them there as well. I did and the seller eventually took care of things. You might also try opening a claim with the shipping company.

I would contact the vendor about the broken parts.

don't worry paypal is so pro buyer you'll get your money back after shipping the unit back to them. I mean if i ship a fish to someone who pays by paypal they can just say it is dead and get there money back even if it isn't dead (no picture or proof required.)

as long as you didn't send the money as a GIFT
