Could anyone recommend good macro to get started and all around cool things that will do well? I've got a few species of macro started already, and feather dusters/stomatella snails that seem to reproduce daily.

I'm an architect that recently warmed up to the idea of designing and building aquariums. Here are a few pictures of my latest project, an eight gallon refugium that gravity feeds back to a 34gal cube DT.

I designed and built this myself because I couldn't find anything on the market close to what I was looking for.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Devan

I've been looking for a red branching macro (Rhodopeltis). If anyone knows where to find it. Seems pretty hard to find display macro, commercially, in Houston.

i would love to get in touch with tektite, lol. She's got some cool stuff, I think she stays kinda busy though. We have the same mindset. Trying to make this hobby more enjoyable/affordable for everyone that wants to get into it... And some new discoveries along the way, lol

Well im a grad now and i moved back to where my 125 is, iv got a mixed reef right now (zoa garden, LPS, a few montis) but im currently in the process of moving out. Iv been gathering equipment for the past year to upgrade my tank to a 280 and take the leap of a more SPS dominated tank. However I prefer the whole show than just one type of coral so itll just be a big mixed reef with a bunch of acros, Montis, LPS, acans, zoas and probably no leather coral. =)

Very cool! Let me know how the build goes when you start.
