while they are small enough I cant be sure -- I am thinking you will tell me that these are likely Aiptasia. They are tiny so that you would almost miss them, except there were a dozen of them. They appear clear enought you can almost see thru them and they have the general shape when viewed thru the glass of a star.

Doesn't sound like aptasia to me. Maybe tiny fan worms? Any chance of getting a pic?

I gota get a better camera -- they are just to small for me to get a good pic -- but I have seen a small (maybe 1/8") fan worm on one of the rocks.
If that is what they are is there anything I need to do about them? Is it ok to just sweep them off with the mag-float?

IF they are fan worms, no problem just scraping them off (if they're on a viewing pane, otherwise I wouldn't bother). If they are aptasia, then if you scrape them off you'll have 50 of them come back next week. :D

More than likely some kind of hydroid, or tiny anemone. I know what you're talking about I have them in my FOWLR setup, and just saw one in my new nano today. They're harmless as far as I can tell.
