i saw live snails at an asian grocery store last night for 2.69 per pound. i was wondering if they are reef safe.

Perhaps. It depends on the species. When my octo was small we used to feed it periwinkle snails from HEB. They tended to stay on the glass, ocassionally on the rock. I never saw one on any of the corals.
