I just completed building my sump (picture attached) and my next step is to build myself a new stand for my tank and I'm looking for suggestions. I have a 135 gallon oceanic reef ready tank with dual overflow boxes. My sump is a 55 gallon tank with AquaC EV180 protein skimmer powered by a quiet one 4000HH pump. The sump will have a refugium on one side of the tank a return from tank area on the other side with the skimmer located in this section of the sump. The skimmer section will be seperated from the middle of the tank where I will have my return to tank pump buy a bubble trap.

For my stand I want to make sure that I have plenty of room under the stand for the sump and I intend to enclose the whole area. I would really like to cut down on the noise of the sump if at all possible since the tank is in my bedroom. I also plan to put a canopy on the top and I was thinking about trying to connect the bottom part of the stand with the canopy in the back, does that make sense? The canopy will be able to be removed from the tank/stand to do water changes and things like that. I plan to make the stand about 6 inches deeper then the tank to help do this and to provide ample space under the stand for the sump and storing other things.

Anyone suggestions on what to do and not do would be greatly appreciated!!!
