My starburst polyps have disappeared. They had been doing wonderfully. Looked like a green field blowing in the wind. Then suddenly, 3 days ago they went into hiding and I haven't seen any out since then. Everything else looks great. In fact my frogspawn and candy canes have never looked better. My water is well within specs and they have remained unchanged for months.

Nitrates - 0
Ammonia - 0
Phosphate - 0
Ph - 8.2
SG - 1.023
Ca - 400
Temp - 80.2

I put a new piece of live rock in right before this, but it was bare, nothing on it. I moved things a little bit, but nothing around the starburts and it did not change their flow. They disappeared once before, but only for about a day and a half, then they were back like nothing had happened. Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Joe

I would give them at least a week or 2 before I really started assuming they're dead.

Actually, until you physically SEE the purple matt in which they grow from start to melt and disappear - I wouldn't assume anything..

Could we get a photo of this? Maybe a before & after shot?
