I've been researching fish that are mainly peaceful and small for my 29 gallon tank.

Here's what I've come up with that I think are nice-looking fish:

1. Jawfish (Pearly)
2. Anthias (Threadfin Goldie)
3. Blenny (Linear)
4. Cardinals (Black striped)
5. Dartfish (Zebra barred)
6. Gobies (Gold neon eviota)

I know that's a lot, but those are just the ones I like.I can always remove some from the list if I need to. :)

My questions are:

1. Would all of these fish live together pecefully, given the tank were big enough.

2. How many of these fish could I put together.

Also, the tank is going to be a reef tank. :)

Thanks!!!

Its a good combo of fish and looks very promising, I would just caution against overstocking such a small tank. As long as you have great filtration and stay on top of your chemistry you should be fine though, especially since some of them are bottom dwellers.

Thanks for your imput!!

I'm actually cleaning out a 40g breeder right now, and am going to make that the tank, instead of the 29g.

the jawfish is awesome, but they enjoy deep sand beds and jump when startled so plan for a tight fitting top. the blenny/goby/jawfish combo may be interesting, hope they get along with each other.

+1 i'd be careful of that part of your combo...the blenny and goby may fight since they occupy the same part of the tank...on the rocks near the bottom...that's what i'd be worried about with them...from what i've heard they're fine if you get one "burrower" and one "rock hopper" but 2 of the same can be rough...maybe...

Thanks, guys!

If I do get those two, I'll be sure to watch them.

With the 40g breeder, I am planing on building a canopy since I don't really have any lights that fit the tank.
