Hmm, hope there is a way to fix the "W".
I'm confused, MP40W will not sync with a MP40WES. The boxes don't even look the same. Now a MP40ES will not pair up with a MP40WES either, but the boxes look the same. On my MP10ES the box has the cutout for the W but it is not lite up, the MP10WES has a blue light shinning through the W.
If both of your boxes look the same and only one has a W lite, then thats your answer. One is a MP40ES and One is a W

BigRick has it right. The W is always there on the controller, whether or not it's a W model. If it doesn't light up, it's not a wireless model. It can't be sync'd.

lol i was just about to recommend the upgrade kit is just a drop inplace chip. freaking ecotech gotta love them.

Ya, and they charge $150 for a battery backup. I made a backup for $15 in parts from Radio Shack, and an old 12v car battery.
