I bought an acrylic sump off of craigslist. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about the sump. It has holes for two bulkheads...on that side it has 3 dividers .... it comes from the top down to about an inch from the bottom aloowing water under it...but the next two dividers are only a few inches tall and they both have large openings in them. The middle divider only comes from the top down a few inches as well. And on the skimmer side there is a second floor that inclines. Any help would be greatly appreciated.....I have no idea on the sump brand.

To make things easier - first close/cap all the holes. You can deal with the compartments later.

Do you already have a return pump?

no. I jut picked this up and I pick up a 120 gallon with dual overflows tomorrow...I am not in a huge hurry..I want to be sure to get everything right the first time if possible...I do know how to put acrylic together, so adding the chambers isn't a big deal. I had just never seen a sump with those holes in the dividers like that.

Also don't have a clue on top hole, Im sure it served a purpose for the owners particular set up. You may or may not have
to plug second hole but it will need to line up with the level of your pump. You could use that hole even if the pump doesn't line up
by putting a spacer either under the sump or the pump which ever is lower. Anyway they do need to be in alignment to avoid
future leaking problems.
