My new Sun Coral has been in the tank since Thursday and I have still not seen it open up, and I am usually up until at least 1 or 2 am. I have it placed low under PC lights and have tried feeding it under the top portion of a 2 liter soda bottle. I used a combination of Mysis Shrimp mixed with Cyclopeze but still it didn't open up. Some of them at times look like they are going to open but don't ever open all the way. With what I have read about the feeding requiments I am concerned that it has not eaten yet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Give it time to adjust. Remember it came out of an ocean halfway around the world - where its dark when we're light. He prob don't know about daylight savings, he just knows it's black now when it should be light. It'll come around in a week, or so.

And be consistent with your feedings so it gets used to when feeding times are, and what the "smell" is like of the food. Eventually, you can "train" them open up during the day.

I would put it under a overhang & get it in a shaded place out of the light.

I'm using a Nikon Coolpix 4500, with the image quality set to Normal, 640 x 480. I turned off the flash and set the camera to macro. I placed the lens almost against the glass and zoomed in. My Actinics were the only lights on also. I was surprised this one came out as good as it did, its really tough getting the focus right on some shots. Here's another one I took at the same time.
