It's great to hear your 180 is on the mend. How is that kick-********* calicum reactor that Kevin built working out? I hope you're seeing lots and lots of great growth in your corals!

Sue, I will look for white parts of the mantle and let you know. Off hand, I can't tell you it has this today... but it's so high in my tank that I don't look directly down on it for that.

Randall, don't don't need to look top down on the clam to see new shell growth. If you can run your hand across it and cause it to close enough the clam will also bring it's mantle into the shell. This will let you see the top most part of the shell and the white new shell growth should be bright as it can be. If by now there is no new growth then we need to find out whats causing the clam to not grow. Clams will constantly grow adding new shell, but sometimes you will see a burst of growth too.

What are you keeping calcium at?? pH??

The only thing I saw in the pic that caught my eye are the mushroom near the bottom of the clam but to my eye it seemed close enough it may be stinging the mantle. I don't know if the green open brain would sting but clams are funny. The mantle does look a bit pinched near the shroom. That could be the cause. :?

Sue, the clam kept "clamming up" and moving around after I got it, so I moved everything near it away. The photo I posted is at least two months old.

Oh, and don't worry, it won't be moved to my cube at home until I have had it up for a year or more... that's good advice.
